Exterior Basement Waterproofing requires excavation around the foundation of your property. The walls will then be cleaned, and cracks repaired. We will then apply multiple layers of waterproofing materials and install a drainage system around the foundation of your property. The trench is then backfilled and landscaping/concrete installation will be done.

Depending on the specifics of the cracks we find we may recommend injecting the cracks with an epoxy-resin solution to do the repair.

Basement underpinning projects can take anywhere between four and six weeks to complete. Specifics will depend on the size of the basement, how hard it is to access the basement and other factors.

Basement benching can take anywhere between four and six weeks to complete. It’s a process similar to underpinning, except it does not require digging under the foudnation, but leaves a “bench” inside the basement instead.

Egress windows can be easily opened from the inside without any keys, tools, or difficulties. It usually takes about one day to install an egress window, however, the details may vary.

Waterproofing Method – exterior basement waterproofing is often more expensive.
Scope of Work – basement waterproofing projects can include a number of other services – window well installations, basement underpinning (floor lowering), etc. The more services included under basement waterproofing, the higher the cost will be.
Depth of the Foundation – foundation depths in Toronto generally range between 5 and 8 feet. Deeper foundations require more labor and materials, which results in a higher cost of basement waterproofing.
The Extent of the Damage – before we start your project, our team will examine your foundation to determine the extent of existing damage. Small basement wall cracks can be repaired using relatively inexpensive materials such as epoxy injection. More extensive foundation repairs (such as foundation reinforcement) are more complex and increase the cost of basement waterproofing.
Materials – if your basement waterproofing projects only involve foundation crack repairs cost of materials will be lower compared to interior waterproofing or exterior waterproofing.
